Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift to the country from Gujarat. He laid the foundation stone and inaugurated railway projects worth Rs 85 thousand crore from Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also flagged off 10 new Vande Bharat trains across the country. Now two Vande Bharat Express will run on the busy route of Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central. The routes of 4 Vande Bharat trains already running have also been expanded.
More than a dozen states including UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh are going to benefit from the running of 10 new Vande Bharat trains. PM Modi enumerated the work done by his government for the development and expansion of railways. He said, ‘I started my life on the railway tracks, so I know how bad the condition of our railways was earlier.’ He said that the system of railway budget was abolished and it was included in the Union Budget so that government money could be used for the development of railways.
PM Modi said that Vande Bharat trains have now completed their century. He said that the network of Vande Bharat trains has now reached more than 250 districts of the country. The PM said that respecting the public sentiments, the government is continuously increasing the routes of Vande Bharat trains. The PM said, ‘Today I am guaranteeing the country that in the next 5 years you will see such a transformation of Indian Railways that you would not have even imagined.’ Describing the development of railways as one of the top priorities of the government, he said that the average railway budget in 10 years has been increased 6 times more than before 2014.

Routes of these Vande Bharat trains increased
- Vande Bharat train running between Ahmedabad-Jamnagar will now run till Dwarka.
- Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Vande Bharat train has now been extended up to Chandigarh.
- Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat has been extended up to Prayagraj.
- Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat has been extended to Mangaluru.
