Under the name of ‘Dakshina Bharat Yatra’, it provides an opportunity to visit the famous tourist places and temples of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the south. 12 days trip

The South India tour will begin on May 3. It lasts for 12 days. As part of the yatra one can visit important tourist places like Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram (Kochuveli) along with spiritual places like Rameswaram, Madurai, Mallikarjuna, Tirupati.

Travel by Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train

As part of this yatra, pilgrims will have to travel in the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. Different category of coaches are available. Tourists can choose the coaches of their choice. You will have to pay a fee accordingly.

Start of Yatra at Rameswaram

IRCTC South India Yatra starts from Rameswaram. There will be a visit to the Ramanatha Swamy temple which is home to magnificent sculptures. After that visit Meenakshi temple in Madurai. From there there will be a trip to Kanyakumari. It is a region where Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean meet. This is the southern point of India. Here you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea. There will be a visit to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam, Sunset Point.

Conclude with a visit to Srisailam and Tirupati

From Kanyakumari there will be a trip to Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. There will be a visit to the ancient Ananta Padmanabhaswamy temple. This temple has a rich history. It is attracting tourists with its wonderful sculpture wealth. After that there will be a visit to ‘Kovalam’ beach. Here the natural scenery impresses the onlookers. From there this trip will enter Andhra Pradesh. Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, one of the Dwadasha Jyotirlingas will be visited. After that, the journey ends with a visit to Tirumala, the shrine of Kaliyuga deity Venkateswara Swamy.
