The Indian Meteorological Department has said in its bulletin that heat wave conditions may persist in many states including Bihar, Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand till April 28. On the other hand, in view of the heat wave situation in Tripura, the government has issued an order that all the schools in the state will remain closed from 24 to 27 April.

The Meteorological Department said that there was heavy rain in Arunachal, Amas and Meghalaya. Hailstorm was also seen in Himachal, Eastern UP, Jharkhand, MP and Vidarbha. At the same time, heat wave continues to wreak havoc in many parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Rayalaseema, North and South Karnataka.

Heavy rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in Arunachal on 24, 27, 28 and in Assam and Meghalaya on 28. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on 27 and 28. IMD says there is a possibility of hailstorm in South Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Marathawad and Vidarbha.

Heat wave wreaks havoc in Bihar and UP for next three days

Severe heat wave conditions may persist in Odisha, Bengal and Sikkim, Karnataka for the next five days. Apart from this, heat wave conditions will continue for the next five days in Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema and till 26 in Karnataka. Severe heat wave conditions will continue in Tamil Nadu today and till 28 in East and West UP and till 28 in Konkan.

School here closed for two days due to heat wave

In view of the heat wave situation in Tripura, the government has issued orders that all schools in the state will remain closed from 24 to 27 April. An official provided this information on Wednesday. According to a bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature in Tripura on Wednesday was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, about three degrees Celsius above normal. Another official said, “The entire state is in the grip of heat wave and this situation will continue for a few more days. In view of this heat wave and humid weather, the Tripura government has declared it a special disaster from the state’s point of view.

Heat wave warning due to cyclone in the south

Cyclone status persists at 0.9 km above sea level in Telangana and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that the air pressure is on an average 0.9 km above sea level from Telangana and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh to South Tamil Nadu. At the same time, the cyclone is located 1.5 km above sea level in South Interior Karnataka and surrounding areas. Heat wave conditions are likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days and over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from Friday to Sunday.

However, light rain is expected at one or two places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
