'Voters' vote is safe', Chief Election Commissioner dismisses apprehensions regarding EVM

Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India Rajiv Kumar on Friday completely rejected all kinds of apprehensions related to EVM machines. He has said that EVMs and public votes are 100 percent safe.

The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 has been completed. Voting for a total of 102 Lok Sabha seats in 21 states and union territories of the country has been completed on Friday, April 19. Many parties have raised questions about the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) during this election. However, India’s Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Friday dismissed all apprehensions related to EVMs. He said that the EVM is 100% safe and the vote of the voters is also safe.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar dismissed all apprehensions related to EVMs and assured people that their votes are safe. He said that EVM is completely safe as it has adopted a large number of technical, administrative and procedural security standards. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the issue has been raised in the court as well. We are waiting for the decision.

Time to enjoy voting

CEC Rajeev Kumar said that nothing can be done in the EVM machine. He said that mock polls have been conducted. Political parties and their candidates are involved at every level. He said that your vote is safe and will be registered as your vote. Rajeev Kumar said enjoy voting. This is the time to enjoy voting, not doubt something.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar along with other Election Commissioners Dyanesh Kumar and SS Sandhu were monitoring the progress of polling from the control room set up at the Election Commission headquarters. He said that despite the rain, people are coming out in large numbers. Women, youth, elderly. All are coming towards the polling stations. Technology has been used to a large extent to ensure voter turnout.
