RBI @90 years: RBI has now completed 89 years of its establishment and is in its 90th year. On this occasion, the Ministry of Finance unveiled a special coin of Rs 90. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, RBI Governor and others attended the event. This special coin weighing 40 grams is Rs. Made of 99.99% pure silver. This Rs 90 coin is minted to commemorate a special day. It is unlikely to be available for public use. A plus for coin collectors.

History of RBI

The Reserve Bank of India came into operation on 1st April 1935. The RBI was established on the basis of the recommendations of the Hilton Young Commission during the British rule.
