After receiving the order from the government, the Finance Department of the State Government has paid the last installment of the seventh pay scale of about Rs 500 crore to the government employees and officers.

How much money will you get?

After payment of arrears for government employees, each employee will get an average of Rs 10 to 15 thousand. This installment received by the employees is from April to June 2017. However, after this, government employees may have to wait from April 5 to 7 for March salaries. Actually, due to taking this process forward after the order given by the government, the salary is getting delayed. However, instructions have been given to prepare bills for the remaining salary and send it to the government treasury.

When was it implemented

Let us tell you that the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented in the state of Chhattisgarh from January 1, 2016. However, the announcement regarding this was made later. Therefore, it was said that the arrears from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 would be paid in 18 installments. Now this dues are being paid by the government in different installments. Let us tell you that the DA hike of central employees was stopped by the Central Government during the Covid pandemic. In this regard, government employees still demand to pay arrears.

DA hike of 4 percent

In March itself, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government officials. It was approved by the government before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. With this increase, DA of government employees in the state has increased to 50 percent. After making it effective from January 1, the employees will be given arrears for the months of January and February.
