Yummo Ice Cream Human Finger: The news of a severed finger being found in ice cream ordered online in Malad area of Mumbai has shocked everyone. This ice cream was ordered by a doctor named Brandon Ferrao (26). The doctor lodged a complaint with the police after finding the severed finger. After the information of the incident came to light, questions have been raised on the ice cream manufacturing company Yummo Ice Cream. Now the company itself has issued a statement and given clarification.

The company has issued a statement saying, “Yesterday (Wednesday) we received a complaint from a customer that he found a foreign object in one of our products ordered by the delivery partner. The quality and safety of the product is our top priority. We are paying attention to this matter. Meanwhile, this issue has been raised. The customer has lodged a complaint with the police.
The company will remove the product from the market
The company further said, “We are taking this incident seriously. We have stopped making ice cream at the third-party manufacturing unit. We have isolated that product in the facility and warehouse. And it will also be removed at the market level. We are a company bound by the law and will fully cooperate and support the authorities in investigating the matter.”
Customer reached the police station with a piece of meat in an ice bag
In his complaint, Brandon said that he had ordered butterscotch ice cream of Yummo company through an e-commerce app. While eating ice cream after lunch, he found a piece of meat with a nail in it. He complained about this to the company through the Instagram page. When he did not get any response from the company, he kept the piece of meat in an ice bag and reached the Malad police station. Where he lodged a complaint.
Case against the company under these sections
On the basis of Brandon’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the officials of Yummo Ice Cream Company under sections 272, 273 and 336 of the IPC. The piece of flesh appears to be a human finger and has been sent for forensic examination to confirm whether it is a part of a human body or not.
