Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp brings some new update every day. In this series, now the platform has launched a new feature to make the travel easier for the people living in Delhi NCR. WhatsApp Direct has brought a new update to book DTC Bus Ticket from your smartphone. The aim of this new QR ticketing service is to simplify the ticketing process for DTC buses. Through this, passengers will be able to book tickets through WhatsApp without any hassle.

WhatsApp based QR ticketing service

WhatsApp has announced WhatsApp Based QR Ticketing Service for DTC passengers living in Delhi NCR. This ticketing system allows passengers to easily book and purchase tickets within the WhatsApp chatbot. With this, DTC has become the first state bus network to implement this solution for passengers.

UPI payment option also available

This new ticketing service is available in both English and Hindi. At present, passengers can book single-journey QR tickets only for DTC and DIMTS routes. However, for passengers traveling repeatedly on the same route, the chatbot provides an instant purchase service. This reduces the time required to select the destination and starting point. Through the new WhatsApp-based ticketing system, a rider can use his preferred UPI payment option. Users are allowed to purchase up to six tickets per transaction within the chat window.

  • You have to send ‘Hi’ on WhatsApp to +91 8744073223.
  • After sending Hi, you will be asked to select your preferred language.
  • After selecting the language, tap on the Book Ticket option.
  • After tapping on the book ticket, you will be taken to the web browser.
  • Now select the source and destination stops and number of tickets.
  • Tap on “Continue” option to make payment and book the ticket.
