New Maruti Swift CNG: What will be new?
In Maruti Suzuki’s new Swift 2024, the company has provided a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 82hp and 112Nm torque. The Swift is the first Maruti Suzuki car to be offered with this new engine in India, which is available with 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed automatic options.
According to the report of Autocar, like the cars sold in Maruti Suzuki’s Arena showroom, Swift may also get CNG option soon. This will be the first CNG car with this new engine. There will be a slight reduction in the powertrain of the CNG engine compared to the petrol engine. Changes may be seen in the power and torque output of the new engine. Only manual transmission is likely to be available in the CNG variant of Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG Price
The ex-showroom price of the new Swift currently ranges from Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh, while if we talk about the CNG variant, it is expected to be higher. Compared to the petrol variant, the CNG variant may be costlier by around Rs 90,00-95,000. It remains to be seen which variants will be offered with the CNG powertrain.
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG Mileage
The company claims that the new Swift will give more mileage than the old one. The new Swift can give a mileage of around 24.80kpl in one liter with manual box. On the other hand, the company claims that this car will give a mileage of 25.75kpl in automatic transmission.
Right now it is only speculated that the mileage of the upcoming Swift CNG can reach up to 32 kilometers in one kilogram of gas. Talking about its rival cars, both Hyundai’s Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago are available with CNG options.
