IMD Alert: As Western Disturbance will form in the country from March 29, it will affect the Western Himalayan region. As a result, the states of this region will receive light to moderate rains. That means there is forecast of rain in the Himalayan region for another three days.

Heavy rains are also likely to occur in North East states on March 30 and April 1 due to Western Disturbance in the Himalayas. Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh received light rains and heavy snowfall in the last 24 hours. At the same time, moderate rainfall was recorded in many parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim states. According to the Meteorological Department, moderate rains may also occur in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Ganga Coast, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra.

Western Disturbance seems to be very active in the nearby areas of West Rajasthan. It will occupy the Himalayan region on March 29. As a result there will be rainfall in many areas. Especially in Punjab and Haryana, there is a forecast of rain till March 31. The situation is similar in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Light rains lashed hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir. But the temperature was recorded 5-8 degrees above normal in many areas. The minimum temperature in Srinagar was 9.5 degrees and Pahalgaon was 4.7 degrees. The temperature in Gulmarg was 3 degrees and in Leh it was 0.5 degrees. On the other hand, heavy snowfall is expected in the next 4-5 days. In most parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka, the daytime temperature was recorded at 40 degrees. Bhuj in Gujarat recorded a maximum temperature of 41.1 degrees Celsius. It is 2-3 degrees above normal at this time.
