The reason for the increase in his wealth is the closing of Reliance shares at its record high level. In today’s trading session, Reliance closed at 2719.80 with a gain of 2.64 percent.
In the Forbes list of billionaires, Mukesh Ambani is the 11th richest person in the world with a net worth of $105.2 billion. Today his wealth has increased by about $2.7 billion, which is the highest in the world. Currently, Mukesh Ambani is the only Indian in the 100 billion dollar club.
Reliance’s market cap crosses Rs 18 lakh crore
The stock of Reliance Industries has seen a rise in recent times. Reliance shares have increased by 5.4 percent in the last two trading sessions. In today’s session, the stock closed at 2,718.40 with a rise of 2.6 percent on BSE. The stock touched a high of Rs 2,724 during the day’s trading. Due to this, the market cap of the company has crossed Rs 18 lakh crore.
Shares of Reliance’s subsidiary Jio Financial also rose in today’s trading. The stock of Jio Financial Services closed at Rs 251.50 with a gain of 4.7 percent.
The gap between Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani increased
Due to the sharp rise in wealth, the difference in the wealth of Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani has increased. Gautam Adani is currently the 16th richest person in the country with a net worth of $79.4 billion in the Forbes Billionaire Index. The difference in the wealth of Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani has become about 25 billion dollars.
