Bank Holiday in January 2024: The festival of Makar Sankranti is about to come. In such a situation, banks are going to remain closed on this day in many states. Along with this, there will be a holiday in banks tomorrow i.e. second Saturday on 13th January and Sunday on 14th January. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on 16th and 17th January due to different festivals and days in different states. In such a situation, there will be holiday in banks for five consecutive days. If you also have to complete any important work related to the bank, then today is your last chance.

  • January 16, 2024- There will be a holiday in banks in Chennai due to Thiruvalluvar Day.
  • January 17, 2024- Banks are going to remain closed in Chennai due to Uzhavar Thirunal.
  • January 21, 2024- Sunday
  • January 22, 2024- There will be a holiday in banks in Imphal due to Imoinu Irapta.
  • January 23, 2024- There will be a bank holiday in Imphal due to singing and dancing.
  • January 25, 2024- There will be a holiday in banks in Chennai, Kanpur and Lucknow due to Thai Posham/Hazrat Mohammad Ali’s birthday.
  • January 26, 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Republic Day.

How to complete work during long holidays

Tomorrow i.e. from January 13 to January 17, 2024, banks will remain closed for five consecutive days due to festivals like second Saturday, Sunday, Makar Sankranti, Magh Bihu, Thiruvalluvar Day etc. In such a situation, if you want to transfer money from one account to another in the meantime, then you can use UPI, Net Banking or Mobile Banking. At the same time, you can use ATM for cash withdrawal.
