
Schools Closed: According to the instructions issued by the UP government, schools will remain closed in 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh on October 28 and 29. Apart from this, no other examination will be conducted in the university or college.
UP Schools Closed News: Uttar Pradesh government has announced two-day holiday in schools in 35 different districts. With schools remaining closed on October 28 and 29, no academic exam will be conducted in any university or college of UP.
Actually, UP Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) 2023 will be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) in the state on 28th and 29th October. Around 20 lakh candidates are expected to appear in this examination. The state government has prohibited from conducting any other examination in any college or university or other higher educational institution during these two days.
What is the reason for keeping schools closed?
Exam centers have been set up in schools and colleges of 35 districts for the candidates appearing in the UP PET exam 2023. In view of this, holiday has been announced in schools. According to the instructions issued by the government, so that all the candidates can appear in the UP PET exam, no other exam will be conducted in these two days (28 and 29 October). So that the candidate appearing in PET exam is not deprived of any other exam.
Who can give UP PET?
Candidates who have passed 10th (High School) examination from a recognized university can give this exam (UPSSSC PET 2023). If we talk about age limit, then the minimum age of eligible candidates should be 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01 July 2022. However, as per the government norms, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit. For more information read the notification carefully.
UP PET Exam Pattern
UP Primary Eligibility Test (PET) is conducted in offline mode in which objective type questions are asked. The exam will have approximately 100 questions of 100 marks for class 10th and 12th and the duration of the exam will be two hours. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
