India’s largest car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki is going to launch a new version of its most famous car Swift next month. Before this, the company has started pre-booking for its new car. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift can be booked at select Suzuki Arena dealerships for a token amount of Rs 11,000. However, no information has been given yet about the price and delivery of the car. But it is expected that all the information will be revealed with the launch.
What will be new in the new Maruti Suzuki Swift?
Not many details have been revealed about this new Maruti Suzuki Swift. But this new model will be launched in many variants as well as many color options. It is expected to get an updated front design including a new grille, bumper, alloy wheels and shark-fin antenna.
The reverse camera is on the boot lid instead of the rear bumper.
The C-pillar of the new Swift will also be completely black like the Hyundai i20. In this, the reverse camera has been placed on the boot lid instead of the rear bumper. Along with this, full-LED lights will be available in the top-spec variants of the model.
Floating touchscreen infotainment system in the car cabin
Apart from this, there will be many upgrades in the cabin of the car including a floating touchscreen infotainment system and a large MID unit for the instrument console. The new model is also expected to have a more spacious cabin than the old model with new seat upholstery.
New Maruti Swift Engine
In the new Maruti Swift, the K series 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol powerplant will be replaced by the new Z series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine. However, for India, some changes will be made in this engine considering emissions, efficiency and output. The output of this new Z series Swift will be the same as the outgoing K12 engine. It generates 90hp power and 113Nm torque. It is expected to come with mild-hybrid technology. It can get 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
