Giving information about the progress of various works of Shri Ram International Airport, Ayodhya, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said that work is going on at a fast pace on the under construction international airport. After completing all the works of Phase One by December 2023, operation of aircraft at the airport will be started in the same calendar year. He said that all the works of the airport will be done in three phases, for which 100 percent work of land acquisition of 821 acres included in the project has been completed and handed over to the Airport Authority. The work of CAT-1 and RESA facilities for night landing and landing in fog and mist is almost complete and the work of lighting installed for landing of aircraft is also complete. The work of ATC tower will also be completed soon. According to the District Magistrate, the obstacles coming in the way for the operation of the airport have been removed, including the different components included in the Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the airport i.e. localizer, glide path, marker, DME etc. before the operation of the aircraft of Airport Authority of India. Calibration of all the stages has also been done.
